heart of
our community since 1967.
Every great community needs a heart – a place where neighbours become family, where dreams take flight, and where traditions pass from generation to generation.
For countless families in Blanchardstown and beyond, finding that perfect blend of professional sports development and genuine community connection has been an ongoing challenge. Parents want more than just weekend activities for their children; they want a place where values are instilled, friendships are forged, and potential is unlocked.
Our mission & values
At the heart of everything we do is a belief in community, development, and respect. Both on and off the pitch.
Community first
We’re more than a football club. We’re a place where friendships are formed, families gather, and neighbours support each other.
Player Development
We focus on growing skills and character. From our academy to senior teams, every player gets the support they need to reach their potential.
Respect & Inclusion
Our doors are open to all. We create a safe and respectful space where everyone feels valued and welcome, including players, parents, and fans.
Our Journey
A few key moments that shaped who we are today, from local roots to community impact.

Club Founded
Verona FC is established in Blanchardstown and begins playing home matches in Phoenix Park within the Dublin Metropolitan League.

New Grounds & Team Expansion
The club moves home games to Moortown and Mulhuddart, expands to two senior teams, and forms its first boys' team.

Parish Field Secured
An agreement with the Dublin Diocesan Trust grants use of the local Parish Field and adjacent clubhouse for matches and training, still in use today.

Juvenile Section Reactivated
The club relaunches its youth program, forming new underage teams and building a foundation for future generations.

Major Growth Period
Verona FC grows rapidly, fielding multiple senior and underage teams, plus over-35s and a ladies’ team.

Sports Complex & Renaming
Land is purchased beside Coolmine Park. A Sports Complex with a gym, dressing rooms, and offices opens in 1996, marking the renaming to Verona Sports & Leisure Club.

Stronger Than Ever
Verona FC continues to thrive as a community-first club, fostering development, inclusion, and pride on and off the pitch.
